Lila Iké, whose debut EP, The ExPerience, was released during the Covid-19 pandemic, may already be familiar to fans of her collaborator Protoje, who discovered her music when she moved to Kingston after leaving university.

The Jamaican singer/songwriter has also received support from BBC Radio 1Xtra, who invited her on the 1Xtra in Jamaica series, and named her on their Hot for 2020 shortlist. To celebrate the release of her EP, she hosted a virtual listening session in May 2020, where she was joined by Grammy-winning musicians Koffee and Swizz Beatz. This year Iké is working on her debut album and in February released her single Thy Will with 1Xtra Hot for 2021 artist Skillibeng.
